SUMMARY:Veteran Suicide Awareness March
DESCRIPTION:The 10th Annual 2022 Veteran Suicide Awareness March will take place in 2 formats. The first is our IN-PERSON 10th Annual Wisconsin March\, the second is our VIRTUAL National March. Both events will be held on Saturday\, November 12th. Last year\, more than 1\,000 Veterans\, active duty service members and civilians came together at the event to raise awareness and honor the lives and service of those who we have lost to this epidemic. \nMany of the participants are civilians\, active\, non-active\, and Veteran military personnel\, however\, all are encouraged to participate or attend to show their support. Though it’s not a requirement\, many of the participants will be carrying a rucksack or backpack in remembrance of the Veterans who complete suicide each and every day. \nMoney raised will assist in helping those suffering from mental illness and considering this tragic fate. Every Veteran deserves our help in overcoming such obstacles after serving our country and fighting for our freedoms. Thus\, we are asking you to join us this Veterans Day weekend to assist in bringing awareness to Veteran suicide by sponsoring H.O.O.A.H.’s Veteran Suicide Awareness March. \nT-shirt Disclosure Information: T-shirts are an additional purchase inside of the registration. If you register for the VIRTUAL national march these shirts will be mailed to you. If you register for the Wisconsin IN-PERSON event you will receive your shirt at the event. If the event is forced virtual because of a state or municipal requirement\, you will be mailed your shirt. To receive a shirt\, you must be registered by 15 October 2022. \n**If you register for IN-PERSON and cannot attend\, you forfeit your t-shirt. T-shirts will not be shipped unless forced virtual by state or municipal requirement. No exceptions.** \n**If you register for VIRTUAL but attend in person\, a goody bag is not guaranteed.** \nThis event is about joining together as a team to fight against Veteran suicide. \nPlease use the hashtag #BeTheirVoice \nThis year we will used tier pricing as we approach the event:\nUntil 15 September = $25\n16 September – 15 October = $30 – This is also Shirt order deadline\n16 October – 8 November = $35 – No shirt guarantee\n9 November – 12 November = $40 – Website will be shut down. There are options to copy the link itself or to share directly to social media accounts.\nOnce you create a donation campaign\, you can visit the Dashboard at any time to collect the donation link\, share the campaign or view donations that have been made through your link!
