About Me

Sarah Rodriguez is a proud Air Force veteran. She served four years active duty at Travis AFB, CA, in the Nurse Corps. After separating, she moved to Laughlin AFB and Dover AFB with her husband, an AF pilot. Her son is currently in his first year at the United States Air Force Academy. As the wife, daughter, and granddaughter of veterans, a veteran herself, and the mother of a future active duty officer, serving and supporting veterans is near and dear to her.

Sarah is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience and earned her doctorate in nursing education and leadership in 2023. She currently works as the Research and Education Coordinator for Star Legacy Foundation, the nation’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and care of perinatal loss. She has practiced nursing in California, Texas, Delaware, Minnesota and Florida. As both a nurse and a veteran, Sarah understands the importance and impact of serving and caring for others. In her spare time, Sarah volunteers with the MN USAFA Parents Club as the Class of 2029 representative. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. Exploring Florida is a new interest!
