In April 2020, HOOAH, Helping Out Our American Heroes, was on high alert for the need to support deployed service members. 

In addition to the thousands of packages already sent, the Covid 19 crisis was another prompt for a care package drive.

The Militarytimes.com reported that among troops, the infection rate of Covid-19 surpassed the average infection rate in the US at large and our friends at Mint Hill Dentistry did not waste any time pulling in their resources to support us in this cause. 

We reached out to Mint Hill sharing news of a request from a Unit Commander in need of oral health supplies for his troops.

Together we sent over

• 600 toothbrushes
• 6 cases of floss
• 5 cases of toothpaste 

They were shipped to military personnel located in the outsider provinces of Afghanistan.

In addition, a total of eight boxes including goodies and snacks like nuts, jerky, gum, rice crispy treats and hard candies were included as well!

As Mint Hill Dentistry covered all costs associated in fulfilling this request, we at HOOAH were able to divert our funds toward directly supporting the transportation of two Fort Bragg vets to Florida for PTSD therapy.

If we all pay it forward, in all ways, big things can happen!
